Hey!

A photo of Amanda, the owner of Rust Belt Threads

I'm Amanda, and I'm a big believer in vintage. My vintage collecting started in the mid 90s and has been strong ever since. One day my closet burst and Rust Belt Threads was born.

My shop, Rust Belt Threads, offers a selection of eclectic hand picked vintage clothing and decor ranging from the 1920s through y2k. I started selling here and there in the mid '00s, but Rust Belt Threads really kicked off in 2009 via Etsy. I currently run this biz by myself out of my home that I share with my husband and our two cats in Buffalo, NY. My current favorite decades are the 1960s and 1970s - especially the fashions of the Swinging Sixties and the glamorous days of disco.

Purchasing pre-loved items is vital for creating an eco-friendly global fashion industry. When you buy vintage, you're actively preserving the past while simultaneously contributing to sustainability—a major benefit to the planet and its resources.
