Absolutely gorgeous vintage 1920s silk velvet opera coat with fox fur trim. Made from  silk velvet in a stunning tomato red color, the coat features four cascading ruffles and a large cream fox fur collar. Secured with a single button closure on the front, the coat is lined with a soft peach silk velvet and includes two inside pockets adorned with charming bows. There are no armholes, so the piece gives you a striking cocoon look.

CONDITION:
Good vintage condition. The outside of the cape has a few small dark marks, one is hidden by a ruffle. There also looks to be some sort of watermark on one ruffle where the velvet is crushed on the outside and a dark line on the underside. There is one black mark on the button loop. The lining has a few small dark marks, but the main issue is that there is some breakage of the thread along the back middle seam. This should be an easy fix for someone that knows how to restore garments. Please see photos. Regardless of these issues, the coat presents beautifully and has been priced accordingly.
