Vintage 1950s Blue & Orange Silk Paisley Dress Set | small medium

Gorgeous vintage 1950s silk paisley dress set by Saks Fifth Avenue. This dress set comes with a matching dress and jacket. Both are made of blue silk and have an orange, green, and light gray paisley print. The cropped jacket has slightly padded shoulders, a Peter Pan style collar, and rhinestone buttons down the front. The dress is sleeveless and has a wide collar. Fitted waist with a chiffon layer skirt that has a gray silk skirt underneath. Metal zipper with hook closure up the back of the dress. The shoulders of the dress have sewn in straps with metal snaps. The dress of the bodice is lined with a white cotton backing and the jacket is lined with the same gray silk.

CONDITION:
Very good vintage condition. The underarms of the jacket and dress both show some discoloration. The zipper has some steam stressing in the waist area. There are a few marks on the inside back of the skirt. Also, the dress is made from slub silk, so there is some slight ribbing in some parts of the fabric (not a flaw, but worth mentioning). Please see photos.  I haven't attempted to wash this piece. Regardless of these flaws, the piece presents beautifully and has been priced accordingly.
