Vintage 1970s Ornate Brass Peacock Fan Fireplace Screen
Vintage 1970s Ornate Brass Peacock Fan Fireplace Screen
Fantastic vintage 1970s brass peacock fan fireplace screen. This ornate screen has identical sides with a person wearing a draped garment holding a ball in the middle of the piece. Carved weighted brass bottom. The screen folds out on each side and can be folded in and secured by two small brass latches one each side. The screen has some slight patina in a few minor spots which only adds to its charm. A remarkable addition to any place, this screen is both functional and visually stunning.

CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition. I haven't attempted to polish the brass, and will leave that up to the buyer. As mentioned above, there is some patina, dark spots, and oxidation on some small parts of the brass. The base on one side is speckled and above that there is a shiny spot of brass on the fan. Some of the ends of the fans have some dark marks due to past use, but this is common with these type of fireplace screen. Please see photos. Regardless of these issues, the fireplace screen presents beautifully and has been priced accordingly.
